Sizzling Skillet - Scarborough

I apologize for not reviewing your restaurant on Yelp before. Hello people, please try their burgers. They are fantastic! I give it 5 stars.

I have dined at this restaurant a few times with my siblings and friends, and while the food is generally good, there are some areas that could be improved.

After our Eid prayer, I went to this restaurant for breakfast.

We went for dinner one Saturday evening and it was not very busy. The place has plenty of seating and a fresh, modern look. Service was friendly but a little slow (for some reason they only had one waitress working). When the food came, my entree was served along with our appetizer. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she simply shook her head and said, "I don't know, it's the kitchen."For the appetizer we ordered a quesadilla and it was good. The same cannot be said for the entrees though. The meat in my chipotle steak panini was dry and my wife's short ribs were chewy. At the end of the meal, the chef/owner asked about the meal and was clearly not happy with the feedback I gave him. He went back into the kitchen talking loudly about how all his customers love his steak and ribs.I realize now that most of the positive reviews on this and other websites are about their breakfast menu. So we will probably be going back to try it out. However, I would not recommend going there for dinner.

Sizzling Skillet moved to Ellesmere Rd location, which is much bigger dine in place and very close to mosque. Food is served Halal. Owner is very friendly and usually pay his attention on the food while prepared. I always enjoy eating there. They served variety of food including Pasta, burgers with fries Steak and Panini. I enjoy Beef or Chicken Panini with fries. Overall food quality is very good.
