Johnny's Shawarma - Scarborough

Johnny’s is seriously good shawarma. The restaurant is very clean and the food is excellent both in taste as well as in price. I got the mixed beef/chicken shawarma plate cause both are very tasty. There was way more meat than rice on my plate so you know they aren’t skimming on the protein. I’ve been to many shawarma places across the city and Johnny’s is amongst the best. Highly recommended!

Ordered the chicken shawarma plate here and the take out box was huge! Its the size of 3 of my hands, side by side. The salad and wedged that came with it was delicious. There were an abundance of garlic sauce and hummus. There were tons of chicken which was great and not overly loaded with rice. It also came with Naan. My only complaint is that the chicken was dry and the meal needed hot sauce. Overall I am really satisfied with this meal and super full.

One of the best shawarma places in town. I have been visiting here quite often for past 8 years ever since started working locally here. It's bit pricey but they are tasty and addictive. It's always busy and highly recommend to try it!

Interestingly I found this place via Google reviews and decided to give it a try. I have frequented other shawarma joints in the GTA but have to say: Johnny 's Shawarma is definitely the best in the city... hands down! Friendly (home style) atmosphere and always clean. Every time I eat one, tastes like it is the first time you can taste the quality and care put into each bite. Super juicy/creamy (extra garlic requested) on the inside, but crispy and crunchy toasted on the outside... Always looking forward to coming back! ?
