Bidrage med feedbackKoie Ramen in Oslo was an overall okay dining experience, earning a 3/5 rating. The taste of the broth was decent but not great, and the pork was average. However, the egg was nicely prepared, adding a positive note to the meal. The service was satisfactory but nothing exceptional. Our experience was marred when we were nearly done with our meal and felt rushed as we were pushed to have others seated at our table. Though we had intentionally chosen a spot at the edge of the restaurant for a relaxing dining experience, this put a damper on the evening. Koie Ramen is an acceptable option for ramen, but the experience might not be for those looking for a more leisurely dining experience.
There was a bit of a line but it took mayeb 20 minutes to get in. Once we were in the service was fast and the food was simple and declicious. The interior is Spartan and people generally don't linger so that's why the line ups don't take long to get in. The menu is simple to understand and it's some of the best ramen I've ever had.
A perfect spot for Breakfast or lunch, food to sustain you in the Minch Museum. Take a friend and share the joy.
I really liked the locale with an open vibrant vibe. I did not like that the counter we sat at was so sticky it was difficult to get the menu up. Had a karaage side first which was delicious and a really good value portion. It took a while before we got the food. The portions were really good, and we felt more than full leaving there. The taste of my tonkatsu broth was a bit bland, and the rest was just ok. My friend said hers was just ok. We did not feel tended to at all. The waiters were clearly very stressed by the amount of people coming and going, making it hard to get their attention to order another beer, which I had to order twice because they forgot the first. Fun place to eat, and I'll be back, but I was not as amazed as I've been told by others. Would recommend coming outside prime-time Saturday, I suspect that will be a better overall experience.
My go to place for ramen in Oslo. Simply the best! Food safety is important to me and they always keep the kitchen and tables clean.
