Mattitaco - Mattituck

We went to the Wolffer Estate Wine Shop for live music and the Mattitaco Truck. We could not experience much wine or live music because Mattitaco took 90 minutes to work on a 20-person line. Finally, when we got to the front of the line and got our food, my wife and I found the tacos in order, not to wait for 90 minutes. This evening we both experienced the symptoms of food poisoning either from our Bang Shrimp, Carne Asada or Lobster Tacos. I shared this experience and demanded a refund from the owner Justin via Venmo and Instagram DM and he ignored me. Posting this review is a last resort as I respect small businesses that want to grow, but if you ignore a case of food poisoning that caused your food, then I must share.

I was so excited to try this place after other people hear about eating. Let me tell you it wasn't disappointed! Everything we ordered was so delicious and unique. I can't expect to try other items from their menu. My only complaints are that it is a little confusing when you go in. We were not sure where to go and the working people have offered no help or seem to be interested in what we need as customers. Overall, it was a good experience and I will come back absolutely. The high-quality foods produced more than for the lower quality service.

I have loved Mattitacos food for a long time and have worked with them on a number of catering events in the past, which I was delighted with the results! My husband and I recently hired Mattitaco to our wedding on 5th. To celebrate June 2021 and were blown away from the food again! Everything was delicious and the staff was amazing to go far and about their job descriptions to ensure that every last detail of the day went free beautiful! We worked with Justin to develop a custom menu that includes our popular local seasonal products, tacos and large formats of seafood pasella and a range of smoked meats. Joe the Bar Manager was amazing and so communicatively answered all our questions and build custom cocktails for us based on our preferences. Everything was tasty and I can't count the number of guests who have us on the food and the staff compliment! Very recommended for all and all catering requirements!

This place is so good. Their tacos are delish and creative AF. I would have never thought of ordering or making a beet taco but there it is and it was amazing. They also have a great selection of beers, some great local brews from Riverhead to pair with your tacos.

Mattitaco was excellent! We were wandering around looking for something different, and came across this place. My wife and I are crazy about tacos and this place nailed it. We had some BLT (Bacon, Lobster Taco), steak and melon, land and sea, Baha fish, and an Al pastor taco. These tacos combined with a pitcher of margaritas and one of their own Mexican Style Lagers was the perfect way to end our day! Great job Mattitaco!
