Bidrage med feedbackDW and I arrived early for a reservation for 8 adults and 1 small child. Wife 's 63rd birthday celebration on Christmas Eve. We sat in the bar and enjoyed a couple Friday 's Signature Drinks. They are good drinks but almost devoid of any alcohol. My second drink was a New Orleans-style Hurricane ala O 'Briens. The bartender was kind and explained that they usually only make their signature cocktails. But if I knw the recipe, she 'd give it a try. A co-worker found the ingredients on the web and we were off to the races! The 2nd Hurricane was exactly what I hoped for and was very very good. It even had the alcohol in it. Our guests arrived and we moved to our table. Our server was right there and took care of us like old friends. More drinks and app 's ordered. All was good. Friday 's does the App 's to perfections. For the dinner orders, some folks had burgers, a special salad, and other regular fast items. Three of us ordered 1-salmon, 1 bourbon glazed filet, and 1 regular filet. The burgers were good, the salad was fine and the other fast stuff was good too. DW liked her salmon. The 2 filets were both not good. Filets should never be tough, but they both were. My Medium Rare was well done at one end and medium the rest of the way. The other filet was suppose to be medium but came out well done all the way through. We should have ordered the sirloin. We were there for a birthday and reserved as a birthday dinner, but staff forgot to mention or ask about it so we came home a celebrated here. Fridays is a good place when you want standard food, and fun drinks. For fine dining hopes, go somewhere else.
Apparently it was a busy night for them. We arrived prior to our Open Table reservation time, and despite selecting a high top table, we were told that there is only one left, but it isn 't cleaned off and that we could wait if we wanted... which we did. It took a long time for us to be acknowledged by a server. We knew what we wanted to order from drinks, to apps, to entrees. Since other servers deliver the food we hadn 't seen our server in awhile. My husband ordered a second drink that didn 't arrive until we were finished our entrees. A couple minutes later our server brought us our check. I had a coupon, so she had to adjust the check and give us a new one. I thought it was odd that she never came by to ask us if we were interested in dessert. By the time we left, the place was less busy. Guess we picked a bad time to go. That said, there were multiple time slots available on Open Table. Later, I received an email that said my reservation had been cancelled. Not by me. Apparently instead of checking us in, the hostess cancelled our reservation. I think we had the B team that night.`
The only complaining is that we waited for the food to be a bit too long, but the waitress was fantastic. I had the wings that are not baked and fried, but with franks red hot baked and are delicious. If you don't have it, you should try.
The most important courses were good, but the pommes had more salt than almost food joints. we couldn't like the point, but maybe 5. they relax on the salty season! yes.
I want to take a moment and give you a thumb until Friday. we have been at this location for over 15 years. sometimes the service is not so good and sometimes it is great. that means we are still a loyal customer and will continue to support the personal and restaurant. Unfortunately, people are so quick to judge and post negative reviews. the service industry is hard they do the best they can. that is, the atmosphere in the restaurant is always upright and positiw we had a great meal and service was excellent. our server mariano has made an excellent job. he was attentive, very polite and made us very welcome. we are looking forward to our next visit!
