Ole Timey Meats Beaufort

I have been a loyal customer since they opened and normally receive great service and a great product until today.I asked for 3 filets, 8 oz.They had to cut them so I waited and browned the shelves.When I got to check out the young lady (different from the one who took my order) said here are your two filets.I said I had ordered three.No problem, they went back and cut another one.I accepted the additional package, paid and went home.When I opened the packages, one indeed had two fine looking filet steaks, approximately 8 oz.I opened the other one expecting the same.Not so.What I had was a miniature tenderloin, cut entirely different from the two steaks.I took the odd piece back and requested a steak.I was the handed the same piece of meat, repackaged and was told it is the same thing.I stated that I was aware that the meat was the same but the cut was very different.I was anticipating grilling all three pieces the same way.All I received was push back with no offer to provide a steak as initially requested.Very disappointing, these folks are normally very friendly and accommodating not argumentative.My fault for not checking all of the meat but the response was underwhelming

It is great having Ole Timey Meats for a local butcher shop. They are responsive, helpful and carry top notch product.
