Bidrage med feedbackI found a great Taiwanese restaurant in Scarborough. The prices are reasonable, and the beef noodles are delicious and flavorful. The restaurant is small, but the food is definitely worth a visit.
This is a small seat (or pull out) restaraunt. The place was full when we arrived and we were asked to leave our phone number so they could call when a table was ready. Less than 10 minutes later, we got a call... I waited a lot longer for larger companies. Our food came to the table very quickly and everything was for our pleasure. The dishes were a little small, but the prices were lower and I think more than balanced the portion sizes. For a party of 4 people our total number with 20% top was still under $78! Our children ate everything, including shrimps! Oil No complaints about Papa Changs! Children can be picky, so it says a lot about eating here. I'm not sure where the bad reviews come out... the service was great when we were there, maybe because our party size wasn't able to register? Since this is a small amazement, I am not so sure that I would try to make a big party here.
My child has food allergies and was not allowed to eat food that was brought in that he could safely eat. We were a big party of 10 people, it’s not like we were not ordering food from the restaurant but their actions of not...letting a child eat his own food because of food allergies basically forced us to leave the restaurant. The manager at the store, Jojo, was rude and unprofessional. Do not go!
DO NOT GO TO PAPA CHANG’S at Markham Rd and 16th Today, a group of 13 of us went to Papa Chang for lunch. I inquired about food ingredients for my child who has life threatening allergies to eggs, dairy, and nuts. Waiter’s first response,...“oh so many allergies ar”. Then it comes down to “we cannot guarantee there is no eggs in the food”. My mommy brain had to come up with plan b, so I went to nearby restaurant and brought back something safe for my child to eat. The waitress Jojo who later claims to be the acting manager of the restaurant pointed to a sign at the door that says “NO outside food is allowed” and told me I can’t bring food from outside. Me: my child has food allergies and he cannot eat your food. Jojo: you can’t bring outside food. if every customer brings food in we can’t do business. Me: Not every customer, we have a party of 13 and one child has food allergies, he cannot eat your food, and he is hungry. Jojo: this is the policy here. Me: then can you promise there is no eggs in your food? Jojo: we can’t promise. We cannot help you. My child and I left Papa Chang’s. Friends, if you have a baby, you could bring baby food to a restaurant. If you have physical accessibility needs, restaurant would be equipped with ramps or elevators. A child with life threatening food allergies should be respected and accommodated. This is basic human rights. Papa Chang’s is the worst restaurant I have encountered. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT FOOD ALLERGY FRIENDLY HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED
This restaurant has terrible customer service. They are not food allergy friendly. Highly not recommended.
