Met an old friend for lunch here last week. The place filled up for lunch very quickly and was a little bit on the loud side, but not that obtrusive. Our waitress was excellent and offered refills of my cransoda. I had a garlic caesar salad with grilled chicken breast. The salad was excellent... Very garlicky..

I've been to Union Social Eatery several times since I moved to the area. The room and atmosphere have the makings of a quality place. The service can be hit or miss, unless you're a regular; as they seem to go out of their way to make the regulars have great service. On my most recent visit, I was hoping to be in and out in 45 minutes, but my burger took 25 minutes to arrive. I did point it out to my server, and she was kind enough to acknowledge it took a long time and the chef did come out to explain the burgers are made fresh and take a bit longer to cook. That being said, it doesn't indicate that on the menu and that wasn't explained to me when I ordered it. I've also had the burger there before and it didn't take 25 minutes to make. Further, there was a hair in my fries, but I was already done with providing constructive criticism to the kitchen. Sadly there are few casual food options to watch sports in the area, but it will be awhile before I go back to Union.

This place was only 25% full, and my wife and I still couldn't hold a conversation due to the noise. Food was okay but no better, and it's pricy. Go for a beer after work and leave it at that. There are far better alternatives within a block n any direction.

I ordered a veggie burger with just lettuce and tomatoes, but it took two tries to get it right. The first burger came with cheese, and the second had avocado. My friend was nice enough to wait for my order before starting his lunch. The only compensation the manager offered was a free dessert on our next visit, which feels like they’re just trying to get us to come back. Overall, I don’t think the situation was handled well, so I won’t be returning.

Our waitress was amazing. Jessica really took her time with us, understanding that my friend and I wanted to enjoy a leisurely lunch. She checked in at just the right moments, stopping by our table to ensure everything was going well. We both ordered salads; my chicken candy salad was delicious and made exactly to my specifications after I requested a few changes. However, my friend found the chicken in her Cobb salad difficult to cut. Jessica quickly offered to replace it and even suggested complimentary dessert on the house, which we really appreciated even though we declined. Thanks to Jessica’s outstanding service, this will definitely be our go-to place for future meet-ups. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is lovely.
