The Other Place - Winthrop Harbor

Yesterday's bartender didn't not know how to make drinks. We ordered Brandy old fashions and asked for daiquiris she said No. we don't do that here. I could see a bottle of Brandy in clear view. I said regular old fashion and she said no don't have anything for that. From the looks of things unless u are drinking the famous Long Islands or bottle beer, you aren't getting what u want! I had a gin and tonic and a Serious Dirty Look! Bartender is miserable here! No wonder why this place is never busy. We had a party in the side room and the music was so loud u couldn't hear yourself think. Heard the owner is more interested in her new bar in Pleasant Prairie letting this place fail. She will employ anyone with a pulse. Heard bartender say the stack of paychecks here was 2 inches thick. Waitresses all have purple hair and just stand around on there cell phones. Cooks stand outside smoking all the time outside the kitchen. No management and it sad because this place is nice!

The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is enjoyable and entertaining. It's a fantastic place for a family dinner.

The restaurant features a spacious round bar that has everything you need for your beverage preferences. The dining area is a bit on the smaller side, located on the opposite side of the venue. It’s your typical local favorite. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is quite tasty as well! I've visited several times and plan to return soon!

Great atmosphere and affordable prices! I absolutely love this bar/restaurant! I've been a regular here since I turned 21.

The best Italian roast beef sandwich I've ever had! The pizza is fantastic as well. Samantha, the bartender, always brings a smile to my day.
