Chili's Grill Bar - Wichita

We as a family love Chili's. It's a great place to eat out with more than 4 people and not break the bank. HOWEVER this Chili's by Cabela's really let us down. We went on black Friday of this year, a normally very busy, profitable day for any establishment. We waited till mid afternoon when there wasn't such a rush, so we wouldn't have to wait as long. We were quickly seated, but then waited for about 5 minutes for our waitress to come see what we even wanted to drink. We'd picked our food by then so we went ahead and ordered everything at the same time. We got our drinks quickly and our chips and salsa, but then it took another 15 minutes to get my kids salads and my husband chili, which was spoiled itself or had an ingredient that was spoiled. It was awful. After getting those we waited another 15 minutes to get our food. Another waitress brought our main dishes. We asked that waitress for a side of mustard. Didn't bring it. Our waitress finally after we were halfway done with our meal finally walked by but didn't even check to see if we needed anything or if the food was okay. We finally had to flag her down to get the check, to which she was extremely irritated we were paying and tipping in cash instead of a card which meant she had to stop and actually help us instead of us using the table side tablet. She brought us the check and forgot our boxes, so we had to ask again for boxes and it took ANOTHER 5 minutes just for the boxes so we could go. It was RIDICULOUS. I don't know if she was new, or just didn't care, but it was the worst service I've ever had at Chili's.

We had a large group, were seated quickly, and had excellent service.

I've dined there twice, and both times I found the food to be overly seasoned with too much salt. On my last visit, I ordered the chili, and it was so overly spiced that I couldn't eat it. The staff is decent, but there's nothing remarkable about the service.

It was a couple of weeks ago, but the experience was fantastic as usual. This place is truly a hidden gem. The burgers are absolutely incredible!
