Sharon's Place Hawaiian - Derby

Love this place! my friends and I discovered this place after swimming in rock river rapids on the road. we decided it sounded like a funny opportunity to try something new. it was about a six-minute drive from the water park in the middle of a quarter in a small strip shopping center. first we were not sure, but went in and fell into the atmosphere immediately. the mother and pop type store this restaurant wants to make them feel like them? re to house and also in hawaii at the same time. everything we tried looked amazing and tasted even better. each of the employees was as incredibly friendly and treated us like family all the time we were there. this was by far one of the most incredible places I've ever been, and in any case within my three most popular places to eat in the condition of kansas. we live in wichita and make sure that every time we see in theby we look by. are they sure to look at this place when they don't have it?

The owner is intelligent and capable. every time I stop here during my travels, I'm just surprised how great it is to eat. for the first time I was visited by a brown woman with a beestock haircut. she told me about her story with topeka and the tornado of '87. I am not so familiar with the contrary, so it is sure to tell them more about kansas than they learn from television or read. I love the organization too. the girls here are always attentive, fast and happy. the best eating here is the pineapple on the head cake, although it can be too sour for some people. would give 5 but keep it for more expensive restaurants.

Food was delicious and the service was awesome. Definitely returning and would recommend them. Pictured is the Kalua pork with macaroni salad and potato salad. Also the Meatball special with sautéed vegetables and macaroni salad.

I've driven by Sharon's Place for a long time and always tell myself I'm going to stop. This past weekend it finally happened and I cannot be happier. This was my first experience with Hawaiian cuisine and already have my next meal picked out. I had the Kalua Pork and Cabbage and my wife tried the Hawaiian Curry Stew. Both were delicious, but I preferred the stew and my wife like the Kalua pork better. ASK FOR THE SPICY SOY SAUCE with whatever you order. Spicy enough to notice but not nearly so hot it covers the taste of the food. While you're at it, make sure to try the homemade Hawaiian rolls as well. FAR better than anything I've purchased in a store. I will happily drive to Derby to try the rest of the menu!!
