We have heart from neighbors in Green Valley that Arivaca Soul Food has great food, so we decided to drive up to Arivaca to find out for ourselves. We called ahead to ensure they were open and of their hours and policies, given that during the COVID 19 pandemic, it seems each restaurant handles things in their own way ... and that is understandable. They told me over the phone they were open, their hours, and confirmed some items we could order (they also have a FaceBook page). We drove to Arivaca and took a walk on the Arivaca Cienega trials, then phoned in an order for burritos and an order of dirty rice with cornbread. We are Mexican food lovers, so have had lots of burritos, but we thought Arivaca Soul burritos were the very best we have ever had! The rice and beans served with them were delicious, too, as was the salsa. Likewise, the dirty rice and cornbread was the best I have ever had! The woman who cooks here is a wizard with spices truly! To cap it all off, we had strawberry shortcake, peach cobbler, and sweet potato pie and I swear we all went right to heaven perfectly and wonderfully made. Even though we are all on diets, we were so glad we had their sweets...took some home for later. Can not say enough good things about this place. Recommend you call ahead to ensure hours and specials, then pickup to take out. You will be so glad you did! We will be driving to Arivaca again for their sumptuous food! We saw on their Facebook page that they have had Teriyaki bowls and would like to try those sometime, too.

Our family dinners on fridays are always pick up and take out from the soul food. this week we went for the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and chicken and waffles. Always the best!

I arrive at this excellent restaurant often since I love the special atmosphere that is exist in this restaurant. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably loving and well trained. The service is certainly efficient. Most important, the food you get is highly distinguished. I have been there more than once and I was always delighted. The rate is fair. I suggest this restaurant to to everybody.
