El Ranchero Mexican Grill - White House

We're from about 5 hours away, and I loved that they had the same table and chair decor as our favorite place at home. The food was great and the service was as well.

This place is underrated. I'm a truck driver and I've been eating at Mexican restaurants for several years all over the country. I must have eaten at over 50 Mexican restaurants over the years, and I will see I think this is the best one I've ever been to. I knew I was eating a different quality of Mexican food when I tried their complementary chips and salsa. A lot of other Mexican restaurants, either the chips are not very good, or the salsa is lacking taste or too watery, etc. This place nails it on both fronts! Chips are done very well and the salsa is thick, tasty, and even has some heat! Salsa that actually has some heat to it? Who knew?? And the chicken fajita I ordered was delicious. Don't know what else to really say about it. Just delicious. I think you can get a pretty good idea of how the food will be just by tasting their chips and salsa, and once I tried it, I knew I was gonna be in for a treat, and I sure was! I hope I'll be back here another time so I can have their food again!

Since El Chicos closed here, this is my go to spot for my chips and queso! Haven't had anything I didn't like here!
