Bidrage med feedbackWe booked in advance as we had 16 people from our Walking Group descending between 3pm and 4pm. It was a lovely day and the owners had reserved the outside (garden) tables for us so we could sit in the sunshine or shade as you wished. Great service all round and the cream teas, cakes and especialy the bakewell tart and ice cream, which was a popular choice, were all of the best quality. Thanks to Mick, the owner, for great communication via email and accommodating us on the day. I would thoroughly recommend The Copper Kettle when in Dulverton. My personal note the coffee walnut cake is something else and you get a really good portion!
If you want a breakfast to set you up for the day, this is the place to go! We had the breakfast sandwiches- mine bacon, egg and sausage, my husband had added mushrooms and it was served in lovely fresh granary bread. Our pot of tea came with extra tea bags and hot water, so we had 3 cups each! Served on cute blue crockery. Was delicious, not at all greasy and beautifully cooked. Did not need to have lunch as we were full! Service was great too Not open on Mondays
Pre-booked a table here for us and 2 friends as we were staying on the campsite in town and they were visiting us for the day. Arrived and there had been a bit of a mix up with our booking (we'd booked an outside table but had been allocated a table inside). Not a problem and easily resolved. Perfect. We all had a cooked breakfast, ranging from the large, mini and salmon and scrambled eggs on toast all washed down with various types of coffee. The food came out quickly, freshly cooked, served on hot plates and delivered in a friendly and efficient manner, oh and it was delicious. We couldn't ask for anymore. Weather was amazing for a bank holiday weekend and it was lovely to enjoy a gorgeous breakfast sat in their lovely garden. Highly recommended and we'll visit again when we next book into the campsite.
My wife and I, plus our 3 year old golden retriever, and our 3 month old girl visited a few weeks ago following a walk at tarr steps. What a lovely friendly place, we were made to feel welcome and there was no problem with either dog or baby wanting a bit of added attention! We had the afternoon tea for two; very large portions so took a scone each away with us.
This restaurant is a charming spot with delicious food and wonderful service. It's recommended to make a reservation during peak tourist season. The staff is very friendly and provides excellent service.
