Calhoun's On The River - West Knoxville

We had a fantastic meal with a beautiful view of the river. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was so relaxed. We will be going back on our next trip to Knoxville.

Loved how each Calhoun's is unique. This one has a brewery. The one in Gatlinburg has the biggest fried rainbow trout you'll ever have the pleasure of eating.

Food was good when we visited, but we waited a long time, both to be seated and for our food to be served.

I have to say, this was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. It was an hour wait for a table. It took another 30 mins for the waitress to bring us water. Mind you there was only 3 of us. We each ordered a burger, which took 1hr and 15mins to come out after asking the manager if he could check on our food. The waitress didn’t come back to the table until after the manager went back to check on the food and proceeded to tell me after an hour and 15 mins of waiting she was still waiting on 1 burger. In my opinion it is unacceptable to take that long for burgers. This was my first and my last time I will be at this establishment.

Undoubtedly the worst meal I have ever had in Knoxville. 7pm out of ribs and out of pork at a bbq restaurant. BBQ chicken dry breast slathered in sauce. Did I say I had to wait 45 minutes for a table and the was told they were out of ribs and pork? The server was nice but new. The beer was good but overall experience was so NOT! Oh and I complained and they sent a letter that said sorry… that’s it sorry our restaurant sucked.
