Alice’s Diner - West Knoxville

This has been one of my go-to spots for over a year now (I go weekly , but I 'm not sure if that will continue under the new owners. After being told to expect about a 30 min wait for food, I waited a full hour and a half for an omelet that came out cold, with missing ingredients, and the ones that were included were BURNT. Even getting refills on my drink while I waited was a difficult and frustrating endeavor. I watched as at least a dozen folks who arrived after me were served, ate, and left. The staff complained they were short staffed because no one wants to work, but I think really, no one wants to work for an unlivable wage. Maybe the new owner will put some of the money he 's put into unnecessary remodels into paying his staff more, but until that occurs, I would have to say I can no longer recommend this diner. (Also no, there is no longer wifi here.

Looked for a place to have breakfast after a long 10 hr drive. Checked places online and they recommended Alice's. Put it in out GPS and drove there. To be honest, its not much to look at. We almost didn't go in. Thank God we did. Some if the best breakfast food that I've ever tasted. The waffles are to die for. I was only in the area for 2 days, but I promise u this, I will go back next time I visit Knoxville. Service was extra special some of the customers just went out of their way to be nice

This is your average hole in the wall diner.It's difficult to find when you're on the street because there is nothing really that indicates a diner is there to begin with. Just blank white walls.The service was lacking in almost every aspect and it wasn't busy either which is always disappointing. Decent atmosphere, nothing special. As for the food it's average at best nothing remarkable.Since there wasn't anything great about it I prefer to go to Waffle House instead.Parking: Decent parking.

Alice's dinner is one of our local favorites. Food is made to order from scratch. We usually get the beaten path, but today we sprung for the road cart and it was soooo good. Pancakes were delicious! You want a real dinner style breakfast, Alice's is the place! Can't name a better place!Kid-friendliness: Love kids there. Have high chairs.Parking: Small number of spots.

Had a great cheeseburger and fries! You can tell when you bite into your burger that you are eating quality food. Service was wonderful and I will be back soon!Dietary restrictions: I'm on a heart healthy diet so I have to eat quality meats when it's beef. You should have no real issue putting something together if you need to watch fat.
