Bidrage med feedbackWalnut Creek has its fair share of tasty restaurants and quick spots to choose from. But it doesn't have a lot of pizza places, especially if you're in the mood for just a piece of pizza. That said and done, this leads me to PanCoast Pizza, which focuses on her New York pizza. Located directly on S. Main St. and parallel to Highway 680 on the southern part of Walnut Creek, this place has served its piping hot East Coast pizzas from 2012. What makes this place great is that the owner Bob Pancoast originally comes from the area of Philadelphia/New Jersey, which means that he brings many of his ideas to the west. I came here in the evening of Sunday 9/5/2021 at 20:30. Although this was 30 minutes before the closing time, they still had a very generous number of customers who were ordered for one and one order. Since I live out of town, I decided to dine outside and use the warm late summer evening. The interior of this place is quite small, but still allows indoor seats as well as TV 's, a self-service fountain ham station and a single room. After looking over the menu, I went with a piece of her sausage, olives, red onions and cheese, while my 1 went with a piece of her paprika with jalapeños. Prices here for the discs are quite reasonable as you can get a fairly generous layer between the $5-7 range. In addition to the slices, they also make whole pizzas as well as Huagies, salads and Strombolis. They also carry a fairly decent amount of artisanal beers on tap. Since it was quite busy on a Sunday night, my pizza took about 5 minutes to finish. Overall, this definitely has a beautiful unique New York taste, with the crust is thin, while still packed in a ton taste. The only real case is that since this pizza sat for some time under a hot oven, it did not have that 100% fresh from the oven taste. If I could criticize one thing in this place and that's not to have that cracker crust tastes. Otherwise I enjoyed my pane from the beginning to the end. But it was still tasteful, filled, had a lot of fat while it was generous with the blows. The outdoor area was also well lit and spacious; perfect for the comfortable Bay Area evenings. All in all, panCoast Pizza is definitely one of the better mom and pop pizza joints. You have quite generous hours open Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 am and Friday Saturday from 11:30 am to 10 pm. decent prices, a very large range of special pizzas to satisfy all taste buds, and above-average customer service. My rating, an above-average four stars.
Ok pizza ...EXTREMELY OILY/ Greasy. The crust is very very thin you'll need 2 hands to eat a slice....I've been here twice just way to much oil dripping off when picked up.
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is every time we order and drive to pickup at the time our order is supposed to be ready we have to wait another 20-30 minutes for our food. I totally understand a locally owned small shop feel and the struggle of keeping up with orders, but would appreciate being told before driving that our order isn't ready. We will definitely order over and over, but a tad disappointed by our recent visit as the food wasn't the same quality as usual and we had to wait 35 minutes AFTER our food was supposed to be ready.
Spent about $35 on a large pepperoni and chicken, 2X garlic twists, and a drink. The pizza was solid. No complaints, would likely try it again. My wife thought it was too salty, but I liked it that way. Thin crust made in the NY style. Not doughy and had a little crunch, soft enough where it could still be folded. Everyone working in the restaurant was super nice and that alone is worth something.
Thank you to the owners of PanCoast Pizza. There?s nothings like coming to a place and feeling like home! Love how friendly and down to earth they were. And love hearing their story of how the place came about!!! Place: 4 stars it?s in a good spot but only a few parking spots. It?s a corner lot so it?s easy to spot. It?s kinda tiny inside so when they get really busy it can get really crowded. I like the back patio it?s nice and cozy. Even though it?s not that big, it?s still a good spot for a baseball/soccer team to enjoy some food after a game. Food: 5 stars lithe food tasted so fresh. My favorite was the garlic knot! I can probably keep eating them if they?re in from of me, it was so soft. The pizza, it was thin crust just how I like it, cheesy, and lots of toppings! Meatballs were also the bomb! Love that marinara sauce that?s on the meatball, also good with the garlic knots!!! Staff: got smiles, their helpful and attentive! Side note: bathroom was nice and clean : .
