Coach's Xxx Smoke - Waco

My host/server Tyler D was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. He was great, But, I walked into Coach 's to place a To-Go order. I really just wanted to try another Texas BBQ place before i returned to my home in MD. I found Brisket on the menu...One meat, two sides. So, I ordered brisket, Caesar salad, and cole slaw. It was ready pretty quickly, so off I went. I found aparking spot in the shade and opened the packages. The salad was a bit overdressed, the cole slaw needed salt, and the brisketwas dry and somewhat tough. I had ordered sliced vs. shredded. There was ONE single slice of brisket. ONE. $15.10 for oneslice of dry, not very tender brisket with mediocre sides is terribly overpriced! I would NOT recommend Coach 's xXx Smoke BBQ.

Tasty bbq we also really liked the fried okra. is slower than other bbq spots.

My wife and I found the pulled pork cooked to perfection. the sides were noticeable. the server gave us the perfect balance of attention. the owner came out and we had a nice talk about the Waco area and shows further south. we really appreciated the knowledge he gave. if we are ever in the opposite, this will have to be one.

All expectations fulfilled. visited on a busy Friday evening and was quickly seated and served with ease. the meat was tender and the prices were manageable (especially where it is) in any case a place to try. you just need to remember that it is a dirty bbq joint with a hopping bar and light spicy bbq sauce.

Great sports bar type atmosphere with TVs, lots of space upstairs and down. Extensive menu with good selection and amazing servers that were very attentive throughout.
