There tempura appetizer sauce must 've changed bc it 's all vinegary now, half the time the sushi is wrong and the wait time for a server after you 've been seated is atrocious, edit- they got my food wrong and then the waitress told me to order the right thing next time

The service and atmosphere were great however, I ordered grilled scallops and they were freezer burnt along with the shrimp they grilled in front of us.

Me and my entire family are regulars here, whether were all together or by ourselves, we love coming here for their fresh sushi. For a while the service failed in all aspects, but seems theyve improved miles beyond what they used to be. My last 2 experiences were consistently great so that prompted me to change my previously unfavorable review. My server was attentive and kind as well as the host and sushi chef(we always sit at the sushi bar since thats all we ever order). This is a great change and hopefully customers will start to come back to this place now that the service matches the amazing food.

Tables were sticky like tacky glue sticky, and it was HOT in there, should have just left after they rewiped the table and it still had a residue but I wanted fried rice ??‍ Service was atrocious ordered our appetizer at 6:04, entree at about 6:15 pm at 6:36 pm our entrees came out, wrong entree for me but my husbands and daughters were ok At 6:44 appetizers finally came out calamari was cold, soup and salad were an afterthought had to ask and remind her my that husband ordered soup and never received it. Drinks were another story daughters drink had a bug in it and beer was sour ordered a draft beer took over 20 minutes to get it it was so sour made my mouth pucker, asked her to just get me another brand and it came back sour too after waiting another 20 mins for her to come back to the table I finally got up and brought mine and my husbands back to the bar myself where I had to almost beg the manager to try the beers as apparently I was now a “problem” customer After an HOUR I finally was able to get a drinkable beverage. Worst service ever waitress had an attitude and avoided our table until it was time to pay

We have always loved shoguns of owensboro. Unfortunately lately things have turned a little with new staff. We have had several instances with the chef making unnecessary rude comments to our kids. Throwing food at them when they have declined to want to catch or try something. Squirted in the face with a peeing man water toy. Little fun things gone overboard , to where my kids have gotten uncomfortable with being there. We had a recent visit which lead in one shorter guy there grabbing the arms of my friends daughter and trying to force her to stand up after she declined . She was petrified. Food is always great. Sushi is some of my favorites. Servings are always abundantly gave out. ?
