Bidrage med feedbackMy boyfriend and I absolutely adore Sweet Beet. The restaurant boasts a lovely, relaxing atmosphere and is impressively clean—one of the tidiest places I've ever visited. The appetizers and entrees are simply delightful; you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, which features fresh, seasonal ingredients. But the desserts!!!! They are hands down the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a dessert person since I know they're typically made elsewhere, but these are different—fresh and seasonal, just like the rest of the offerings. Earlier this spring, I enjoyed an almond poundcake with rhubarb sauce and local ice cream, and it was divine.
I've traveled pretty much to every corner of this planet. But who knew I could have gone back home and experienced a Top 5 restaurant. Yes it is a modest interior but it has a warm feel with country-ish decor. Service is personal and relaxed. They are not standing over your shoulder waiting for you to take a sip of water so they can refill your glass. But they are always available. The food is....well...you need to try it. I've been there multiple times and it's on the front page of my list when I go home because every time the menu has something new and it's amazing. Enough said. If your within 2 hours of this place...you should go.
I had a fantastic meal at Sweet Beets Bistro last night. The seared tuna appetizer and scallops entrée were outstanding. Every dish was bursting with flavor.
Attended the Lighted Tractor Parade and the wonderful aromas emanating from Sweet Beet Bistro quite literally drew us away from the parade into the restaurant. The food was delicious! We had the meatloaf with blueberry sauce and the cider chicken. Not only were the mains well prepared, but absolutely every item on the plates was flavorful and contributed to the overall quality of the meal. Ingredients are locally sourced. Wines by the glass were well chosen. Desserts were totally worth saving room for. Passion fruit Creme brulee, lemon curd pavlova, chocolate pot de creme...yum. Service was excellent without being obtrusive. The chef/owner checked in with us and was lovely. We sat at the central community table and this added another layer to the experience. It was fun meeting and eating with new people. If that isn't in your comfort zone, there are also typical individual tables. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will absolutely return.
I felt incredibly fortunate to snag a seat at the community table on a Saturday night! The salad special was amazing! The chicken entrée was substantial, fresh, and beautifully presented. I would definitely come back. I absolutely loved the chocolate dessert!
