Chef Yan Can - Vernon Hills

Lacked the quality that it had from other times we ordered. Pork was so hard, unable to eat. Shumai was not the same, very dense filling. Egg foo young lacked seasoning. Not sure if we will be back here again. Very disappointed.

Rose was nice enough to recommend some Dim Sum dishes to try and everything was delicious! Will definitely come back soon!

Very disappointed with Chef Yan Can's restaurant. It needs a thorough cleaning. Sadly it looks like it is on it's way out. Boxes and papers, left out near and in the dining area. Greasy light fixtures, dirty tables, food stuck on sides of tables. Shall I go on? Think not.

I had a dim sum delivery of egg tarts, bao's, and siu mai. Overall the dim sum was OK. There are several items missing. The chicken bao was almost all vegetables. I barely tasted chicken, let alone saw any sight of it. The egg tart (set of 3) was missing 1, unfortunately. I haven't tried their non dim sum items. Perhaps I'll give them a go next time.

Haven't been back for a while due to Covid but recently visited and loved it all over again. From their appetizers to main dishes with added dim sum menu items you can't go wrong. Packed with flavors that remind of great Chinese food. Appreciated the friendly staff. Still looks like a mall dive, but worth it coming every time. So thankful food tastes are still wonderfully delicious. If you are at the Mall and are looking for great Chinese food in this area, this is the place to be.
