Shawarma Pizzeria Saltburn

We entered the restaurant and found a seat, but noticed that there were no menus on the tables or in sight. Just as we sat down, a waitress with short blonde hair approached us with a notepad and asked, “What can I get you?” My wife asked for a coffee, but the waitress responded rather curtly, saying, “Well, give me a clue?” In retrospect, we probably should have left right then, as her attitude was quite off-putting and unnecessarily rude. On the other hand, another waitress with long dark hair was very pleasant and polite. However, because of our experience with the first waitress, we won’t be returning. We also noticed that other patrons were asking, “What can we have?” It seems odd that there were no menus on display. A simple paper menu that changes daily, like at ‘Bonkers’ cafe, would have sufficed.

The food was truly excellent in a lovely setting. We visited for Sunday lunch and enjoyed four fantastic courses. While a Sunday roast is a traditional dish, the unique touches really enhanced the experience—especially the spiced carrots, which were a standout, and the beef, which was the highlight of the meal. I can't wait to try their tasting menu next time. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch.

I had an incredible experience with the evening set menu paired with a wine flight. The flavor combinations and presentation of each course were both imaginative and delightful.
