Bidrage med feedbackI'm from Hawaii so when I went here I was in heaven!!!! Very authentic local food!!! My favorite was the loco moco, and I tried my husbands mochiko chicken which was amazing!
So I went here in the winter which, admittedly, is probably an entirely different experience from the summer version of the place and wasn't much impressed. The atmosphere was a major turn off for me as we were seated in an extremely stuffy and formal dining room. No big deal if that's what you are looking for, but then the menu comes out and that's when things get weird. It is a tropical, island-themed menu, completely at odds with the white-tablecloth and folded-napkin style of the place. It all added up to a very strange and incongruous dining experience that just wasn't enjoyable for me. I couldn't decide if I should be wearing a tie and jacket, or Hawaiian shirt and flip flops. I don't have much to say about the food. It was passable, but not really worth the exorbitant prices. $12-15 a plate for casual dining type options. Service was OK I guess but, once again, it is just strange when you have someone dressed like a butler handing you your margaritaville chicken and chili cheese fries. I pledge to go revisit them in the Summer and see whether the outside patio experience can change my opinion.
New restaurant at the Uniontown Country Club. The service was great, server knew the menu, and the food was hot!!! The chef came out and talked with the guests. He asked how the food was and he said, we look forward to seeing you again! That is some hospitality there!!!! Check them out, it's open to the public.
