Carmel's Mexican - Toledo

Great food and margaritas along with good service. One of our favs Ambiance is authentic,which just makes everything taste even better.

Pricey 5.75 tiny margaritas. Plenty of other reasonable Mexican restaurants with amazing reasonably priced food.

I used to love this restaurant when I visited family in the late 80s, so I had to check it out 30 years later. They have added a nice patio area, but the parking lot is small and crowded on a Friday night. The dining room is brightly decorated with booths, tables, a bar section, and a group area. Our server was friendly and attentive. The white con queso and Tex Mex nachos were delicious. The other food and margaritas were also good. They don't serve Coke products. It was loud, but everyone seemed to be having a great time. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in town.

I went to the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon at 3:00. The music was way too loud for the time of day, causing customers to have to talk or yell to be heard. The bartender was also really loud at times.

We were introduced to Carmel's from a friend several years back. And now every time we visit Toledo from NC we have to go to Carmel's. As always tonight did not disappoint. We had our favorite dish Botanas Mexicanos or what we call Garnachas. The Guacamole and warm tomato stew served with it is amazing.
