Royal Garden - Timaru

Excellent food and great service!I have ate at the other Chinese restaurants in Timaru and Royal Garden definitely stood out from the rest in terms of the quality of the food, portion sizes, menu selection and good value. <br/ <br/ Having been to many other Chinese restaurants in my time, I would recommend anyone to Royal Garden particularly for group functions and gatherings.<br/ <br/ Will definitely be back here again very soon!

For what it's worth I travel to china for work every three months for a few weeks, and being a bit of a foodie, I have experience some wonderful Chinese food. I visited the royal garden for dinner with my family twice over our two week holiday. The service is excellent, the portions sizes were generous and obviously care taken in it's preparation. The quality of the food was very good and I was impressed that would cook off the menu when I asked for steam Chinese vegetables. The restaurant itself is a little tired, however zero complaints from me and more importantly my family, we all loved the food.<br/ <br/ I would say the best Chinese in timaru, light years ahead of the rubbish served at the corner.

Family of 5 visited.Found restaurant to be authentic.Sparse,but clean.Very large servings.Luckily we only ordered medium size!Would recommend the prawn and cashew dish.Will be back next time in Timaru.Try it out :

YUM! This is great chinese! If I had to pick between the 2 in town I wud pick the Royal garden!

Great food and good portions. The ambience can be better. Friendly customer service
