The Underground Sunderland

I had a wonderful sunny Sunday stroll along the coast with my wife and dog. The restaurant now has a designated dog-friendly area inside, which was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and our dog loved all the attention and treats. The views were amazing, the roast was delicious, and they had a great selection of beers. We will definitely be visiting regularly.

This pub used to The bar in Sunderland....no more. Get passed the waste of space bouncer Steve” you’ll be ok. Unless your a guy he won’t let you enter. My ex who’s on pub watch is. “Allowed “ to enter”!!! Not me who’s a victim. Liam the soo called “manager”??? Waste of space. Avoid this pub at all cost. Gone down hill so much! Shame on the owners and management

Ought a Wowcher to enjoy a meal with my family only to find out he restaurant has closed down. Very disappointing I only hope I can get my money back.

Rang the restaurant to book a table and informed the owner we had a Living Social prepaid voucher. She took the details of the voucher and when we turned up for our meal, we found the place closed down. We tried ringing. One number was disconnected and the other went straight to answerphone. The Facebook page has been taken off and I am now struggling to get a refund from Living Social as they say the voucher has been redeemed which I see as theft as the restauranteur has taken my money and given me nothing.

All ten of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal here tonight. We had the unlimited tapas deal which the staff dealt with efficiently. Food quality and portion size was fantastic and we will definitely visit again. Overall we had a fantastic experience, I'm not sure which restaurant the previous negative reviewers had visited but it certainly wasn't this one. All the best for this new addition to Sunderland
