Martinos - Sunderland

Went to martinos seaburn with my family and the owners we obviously in walking around dressed like scruffs and pulling the staff aside every 2 minutes! Staff were doing a great job but the owners made us and other feel uncomfortable the way they were going on. Put us right off and will never be back. Food was spot on just owners thinking they are big time dressed like drug dealers

Came in out of the cold for a couple of beverages, only to be bombarded with less than satisfying products, the spirit measure had not been washed out, resulting in my spiced rum and coke tasting like the previous piña colada I witnessed being served. I was charged upon requesting this drink and after the barmaid had taken my money she decided to ask whether this would be a single or double measure. I also ordered a pint of John Smith's, more like a John's Pits, there was a strong distinct taste of copper and looked extremely watered down. My overall experience at martinos has been less than satisfying as far as the drinks go, fingers crossed and best of luck to those dining in this establishment this evening.

We have been frequent visitors to Martinos over the years, that is up until our last. Visited with a friend and our children, man behind the bar (how he’s still working there as the source of so many complaints is beyond me) got my order wrong and then tried to blame me for it, leaving some some of our table without food and some with only part. No apology and just plain rude, haven’t been back since.

Went for the happy hour with two of my friends. Thing that really annoyed me was that my friends were sharing a bottle of wine and I was driving so on soft drinks. The waiter however would not take no for an answer and still poured me a glass of wine, which was left. We were then asked 5 times was the food ok, which it was however they simply wouldn't leave us alone. Food was nice but please let people enjoy it.

We've been here many times and never had any issues with service or the quality of the meals. It's a lovely atmosphere and the standard of the meals has always been first class. Would highly recommend
