Red Lobster Statesville

I can 100% understand why red lobster is no longer affiliated with any steakhouses. My wife ordered the filet, from a place boasting about surf and turf specials, that was improperly cooked. They did not know how to butterfly a steak. They cooked the same steak 3 times. They claimed their Culinarilay trained manager was going to fix it. I have included a photo of the finished steak. Couple this with lobsterfest with their $40 entrees, 10+ minute wait times just to get asked what kind of drink we wanted, and servers who would rather talk about their patrons to other servers while standing at a table; and you can see why there were only 4 other tables in the restaurant on a Sunday evening.

Mom went to the doctor, and since we were in Statesville we went to Red Lobster. Was not that busy around 4oclock. Food did not take long, and we had biscuits to eat before the meals.

We had to wait 15 minutes for a table even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The waitress was very good. My salad tasted old. The entrees were less than average quality-wise. It was bland and overcooked. You can get better, cheaper seafood at Long John Silver's. If I hadn't had a gift card, I would have been pretty ticked off about the quality and price.

Food was one star- my rice was crunchy (undercooked). Shrimp was overcooked. Steak was a-okay. Service was 5 star- Hamilton was the nicest waiter I've had in awhile! He was always checking on our table and resolved any concerns we had.

Absolutely horrific. They offer to put our kids food in first which is no big deal until you realize you 've been sitting there almost 40 minutes from the kids FINISHING their food and you even getting your food which came with the salad you were supposed to have beforehand. Then THIS is an example of our very well done steak . They sent it back and this pic is the result. Even before that they served my husband and I our food on SAME PLATE saying they heard we were gonna split. After I told waitress I have sever allergy to black pepper and she said potatoes had it.... so you put it on SAME PLATE?! WTHECK Annnnd then manager Jocelyn told us oh it 's that your server has a big party . That party had FIVE SERVERS!!!! IDC if she was only server. 40 min in-between our kids and bringing us refills and our food?! No. They comped our order begging us to come back (we used to be regulars) but nah. I 'm done.
