Panera Bread - Statesville

During our road trip from Toronto to Miami, we finally found our first satisfying meal. We ordered online and picked it up at the drive-thru at 8 AM. The mac and cheese was steaming hot and wonderfully tasty. The oatmeal was excellent, and the half Fuji apple salad was just the right size. The bagel was fresh and wonderfully chewy. I’ll definitely be looking for Panera locations for the remainder of our trip. As for dietary restrictions, the app made it easy to flag food allergies.

Every time I go through the drive through they forget half of my stuff. First time no soups. Second time no chicken on any of my grilled chicken salads…I won’t give them a third chance. For $50-$60 to feed our family, it’s not worth it!

This was the slowest Panera I've ever visited. I just wanted to grab a coffee and a pastry, but it took forever for them to even acknowledge my order (kiosk ordering only?). When I asked if they could warm up the pastry, I had to repeat myself three times before the staff member finally understood. You'd think I was making an outrageous request! At least the coffee was decent.

This place is easy to overlook, so I passed by several times before finally deciding to stop in recently. The freshness of their food is apparent in everything you taste.

Food is usually pretty good, but service is very disappointing. This location has opt 'd to do the no staff at the front counter thing and just put kiosks for you to take care of yourself. The would have a lot more business if they returned to focusing on improving customer experience.
