The Little Dooey - Starkville

I just had my first visit to this restaurant, and I'll definitely be returning. The portions were generous, and the brisket sandwich was fantastic. If you prefer a cleaner sandwich, just ask for less sauce. The meat was truly wonderful. The pulled pork was also tasty, and the hot sauce added just the right amount of kick. The coleslaw was excellent—though everyone has their own preferred style, I could have eaten a whole bowl of it! The menu is extensive, and everything looks tempting. Next time, I plan to try the catfish, shrimp, and oysters. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was quick. Overall, a great experience!

We were so glad we decided to stop in Starkville on our way home from vacation and discovered The Little Dooey! Everything was fantastic—pork, roasted okra, roasted catfish... each dish was spot on! Don’t hesitate to make a stop here when you pass through the city again!

This place has been around for years and is a staple in Starkville. You really can’t go wrong with any choice on the menu, but the pulled pork sandwich is a standout.

Love the BBQ sauce! The best pulled pork sandwich. Had the Tamales other night and they were great. Wels PO Boys and Shrimps PO Boys are great. Great service every time we go.

Always excellent food and sweet staff. Well worth the wait in line.
