Central Station Grill - Starkville

My partner and I stopped by for lunch on the way to Louisville. We both got the catfish daily special. The breading for the catfish was lacking seasoning, giving a bland and saltless taste. I asked my server for hot sauce, but she never brought any. She didn't come back to the table until after I'd started eating my fish after waiting for her to return. When we asked for the check, she didn't return to the table. My partner had to go looking for her, and she was in the kitchen chatting with the cooks and hosts. We were her only table. I'd been to Central Station Grill some years ago while in college at State, and I'd had a much more pleasant experience. I could have forgiven the bland catfish if it had not been for the nearly absent service. I wouldn't recommend for a friend or family member to try them out.

Hues was a good waiter. He was attentive, explained well, and lived up to our expectations. There was a slight wait for drinks, but he let us know, and was very consistent with checking in. He even asked what we were celebrating- which was nice and different from norm.

We go here often and the last 2 times there’s a red headed lady (sorry I didn’t get your name! that is just a doll! Always a warm friendly face. As always we ordered fish tacos, husband won’t order anything else he loves them. I love their chicken wings and cheese sticks! Thanks again for another great meal with amazing lady at the front!

Central station grill is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The spring rolls and cheese sticks are always perfect. The bayou chicken (fried) is something sent straight from the heavens. The shrimp and grits were superb (although I had a slight preference to the old recipe but still good)! The renovations are spectacular, the service is always immaculate. You cannot beat the central station grill!!

My, my...so delicious! Makes my tummy very happy every time I eat there. The food and drinks are delicious. Although there are TVs all around, it doesn't feel like a sports bar, but a very nice restaurant.
