Bidrage med feedbackWhat a great restaurant in Star Lake. We all had the Bluegill fish fry, coleslaw and French fries with much delight. Rayanne was our server and did a wonderful job serving our small group. Easy parking and access to facilities. I will come back again in the future and try the Jumbo Shrimp! Happy Birthday!!!
Restaurant was clean, music and conversation volume was pleasant, food and service were both top notch. I had the Star Laker burger. The fries were perfectly hot and crispy and didnt need any additional seasoning
Food is very good and a bit pricey. Menu is confusing. It says all you care to eat; allow extra time for bake fish. I ordered all you can eat baked fish and was told when I ased for another piece, only the fried fish was AYCE. Why would that make differance. Why not change your damn menu and don't be so rude about it when questioned. Lots of nicer people to eat fish with. See attached menu.
This place is a bit off the beaten path, but they make above average food for the area. They are one of the few places that still serve Pork Tenderloin sandwiches, which are great! Their walleye has always been very good, both the sandwiches and the dinner entree. Thursday and Saturday nights are Karaoke nights, and these are a lot of fun. Even if you're not a regular, you can get a chance to sing 3 or 4 songs each night. The owners are very nice and friendly (usually the cook and the bartender/waitress), and you just get a good feeling being there. They have an assortment of video games, and a crane game for the kids. TVs are visible only in the bar, so if you want to watch a game during your meal, you'll need to sit in the bar area.
Good spot for mediocre food and mediocre beer. Always a place to hit up if you're out snowmobiling. The owners are great, as well, despite their affiliations to the Bears. It's a simple menu with the usuals in the Northwoods, although prices a little hefty when you venture outside of burgers and sandwiches. Check out their Facebook page, where they usually post trail reports and other happenings at the bar.
