Bidrage med feedbackThe food was pretty good, and they had a much more interesting menu than many restaurants we had encountered during our trip to NL, especially for the non-seafood eater among us. The service (other than the owner)? was a bit amateurish - the specials were not described and there was some confusion about our order. Some of the items were overpriced and the lamb dish was disappointingly tasteless.
At the end of the road....overlooking the water....lovely food in a quirky green building. You can see the spectacular sunset from the window tables! Great gift shop.
We went by for dinner and had the snow pea pancake with baby shrimp and kale salad for starters then snow crab and seared cod for mains. Both really good. The next day we went back for lunch.
Being near to Norstead and just down the road from L'Anse aux Meadows, this is a popular place to eat and we got in at the right time. Good if you like seafood - which we don't, so we stuck to soup and pudding. Great views over the bay. A little pricey for what you get but after lots of greasy fried food, this made a welcome change. Limited parking which soon fills up. A small shop attached.
Food was good but very over priced. Service was lax. The owners kids were eating crab and lobster when we got there....guess who paid for that! Go to the local cafes, good food, great prices.
