El Speedy Gonzalez - Springfield

This Mexican restaurant in Springfield should be number one! We decided to stop by on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food. The quality is definitely above what you would expect for the prices. I ordered the shrimp and scallop plate, which was cooked perfectly. My sister loved the shrimp queso, calling it the best she's ever had. The 40-ounce jumbo margarita for $10.99 was full of flavor and tequila. The staff was fantastic and the decor was just right. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant regularly.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly and had a good sense of humor. The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were generous. I look forward to returning when I'm not pregnant to experience the lively bar scene.

I went to this restaurant on 2/20/22 while visiting from out of town to celebrate a family birthday. From the moment we walked in, we had a wonderful experience. All the staff were cheerful and welcoming. The food was delicious and prepared exactly as we requested. Our server was playful and made us laugh with his jokes. He didn't seem to mind that we lingered at our table chatting with our family. We will definitely return on our next visit to town.

I love this place! Great food at a great price! Never met a nicer host! Always so clean!! And gotta love the nostalgia of seeing Speedy Gonzalez!!! Their pitcher of margaritas is the cheapest in town! Love! love! love!

Delicious food. Great prices. Amazing service. This is a great place to get a tasty meal and not kill your budget.
