Bidrage med feedbackTo be honest, I'm not sure how I have never visited Del'Aziz in Bermondsey before, as their baked goods all look incredibly tempting. The innovative cakes and beautiful pastries on display in the windows draw you in to this Eastern Mediterranean bakery and restaurant, which is popular among young families, tourists, and friends. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a plush Moroccan shisha lounge that can be rented out. The decor is authentic and the lighting is low, creating a welcoming atmosphere for those still wearing last night's makeup. The portions are generous and the food is brought out promptly by a team of efficient waitstaff. So far, I have been impressed with my experience at Del'Aziz.
I am writing a review for del’aziz and I find myself drawn to their Mediterranean dishes on the menu, or perhaps the 2for1 burger/cocktail deal, or in this case, cake! However, I feel like the restaurant is a bit confused with its identity. Is it a bistro? Bakery? Bar? Shisha lounge? Despite this, the food and service are decent. Although we did have a mix-up with our order (which may have been due to the complex menu), the waitress was apologetic and even cried when we addressed the issue. In the end, the manager kindly offered us a free plate.
I really didn't expect delicious food. only 5 minutes walk from the london bridge train station. Once they get in, they can't decide what to eat, because everything looks great and taste great. if I had been in a place for more than one dessert, I would definitely go for the second, but unfortunately. and last day I just stopped and had some gone, it was £5,5 for a half sandwich salad half a cake. I prefer this time the banana cake, but for the next time I will go for lemon one. Don't miss the apple cake. great taste, reasonable price!
Okay, I want to start by saying that I really wanted to eat food here. However, I got distracted by all the amazing cocktails! I had several during my couple of sunny Thursday afternoon hours here. Starting with a gin garden, which was a blend of tanqueray, lemon, cucumber and ginger beer. Slightly medicinal with a sprig of lemongrass, very refreshing after my 2 mile trek from St Paul's to Bermondsey I then had a bramble. Pretty standard but made with good gin, and had the exciting edition of crushed ice blueberries. Definitely a go-to summer drink Next up was an Abassid Front Liner, a creamy milkshake with creme de cacao and (sadly) frangelico, dusted with nutmeg. Unfortunately...read more
It had been 4 days since I'd been in London and I hadn't had an English breakfast! I was beginning to get restless. While walking around looking for a place to have breakfast, we came across Del'Aziz. The front portion opens up to the bakery section, and we didn't realise that they are also a restaurant, so we walked in thinking we'd just get ourselves a sandwich or so. Luckily, the staff told us that they do serve breakfast and that we could sit, and showed us to what was the passageway toward the whole restaurant section. This outlet of Del'Aziz seems to have been built over some old monastery called the Bermondsey monastery, and there's also a portion of the flooring that's made of...read more
