On the weekend its quiet and quick so a good option if you're at the Mater. Always had fresh and tasty foods at other Zambreros and this is no exception. Friendly service and surprisingly...its licenced!

Can't fault this place. ALWAYS fresh and tasty. Generous portion sizes. Friendly staff. Nice decor. Funky tunes. The oasis in a food desert. Very good, always good!

Yummy food for sure but be warned about them asking if you would like this or that it more times than not costs extra and they often dont tell you until they have already added it to your meal and by the time you get to the register you get a rude shock .

The food is excellent, with a wide variety of options available. It's also very accommodating for vegetarians. My new favorite combination is the chili sauce and the basil. However, I wasn't a fan of the black rice; I found its flavor reminiscent of dirt.

This fast and convenient Mexican restaurant supports a great cause and is conveniently located near the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital and Mater. I have to admit, my initial impression wasn't very positive; the flavor combinations didn’t quite appeal to me (I usually prefer Guzman y Gomez for burritos). However, the flexibility to create my own combinations of ingredients in any form was what brought me back. Since I’ve been avoiding carbs, I opted for three large scoops of chicken with cheese and lettuce, with prices at $3 per meat scoop and $0.50 for cheese. Most of my colleagues appreciate that it offers a 'lighter' take on Mexican cuisine, and everyone seems to rave about the black rice.
