Hai Hai Ramen - Paddington

One of the best Ramen places around. The food is cheap, but tasty and usually relatively quick. The restaurant is always busy. Worth a try and day of the week.

Ordered 3 buns and two pork ramens (soy base).  I ordered 2 pork buns which were nice,. but the chicken bun ordered arrived as tofu.  The big disappointment; was the ramen.  the noodles were clumped and stuck to the bowl.  the broth was tasteless with an oily gravy consistency that was offensive to the palate.  I have a good appetite and rarely don't finish my meal but this one made me feel a bot queezy and I discarded 20%, as did my partner.

My partner and I love ramen and have been trying many different places in the Brisbane area. Hai Hai came recommended on websites but honestly we were a little disappointed. The ramen wasn't as flavourful as we've had at other shops and the noodles were quite soggy. The pork buns were delicious however and were definitely the highlight of our experience.

My friend, who thinks she's a ramen professional, currently has a gun to my head and is telling me to give this restaurant a bad review. I personally, quite like this place, but i wouldnt know becuase im white. My parents were in the ramen business. My mother would leave home every day to knead the dough by the river side and boil it for the family. When we had no seasoning, we had to use our tears. We were so poor, but our recipe became famous in our village. However, a jealous local ramen restauranteur Soup Kamakura captured my family and took away our legacy. So, I'm here, writing this bad review to appease Soup Kamakura and finally release my family from the underground dungeons. also.... "hai hai" in japanese means "yes yes" so this is a dumb restaurant name
