Tourist Di Russo Mario - SORRENTO

Popped in a couple of times for coffee and excellent ice cream multiple flavours so try a few out!

I went to the Tourist bar early in the morning this September to have my first espresso. I ordered a double espresso and a croissant. The lady at the counter charged me 5 euro. She didn’t give me a receipt. I knew she was overcharging me but I didn’t say anything because I was in a hurry. The same day my wife and I ordered a double espresso and a single espresso and drank the coffee at the counter. They charged us 5 euro. And they did not give me receipts. I began to get tense. Everybody knows that an espresso is 1 euro and a double is 2 euro at the counter in Italy almost in any bar and any city. The next morning I came in for espresso and I asked that same lady How much is an espresso? She said she did not know!!! She asked the manager, he looked at me and 20 seconds later said 5 euro. At this point, I said they were cheaters and left. Never on my trip to Italy have I met such dishonest people like those two working at the Tourist Bar in Sant’Agnello. Shame on you! You give hardworking Italians a bad name. Don’t go to this place, they will look you in the eyes and steal your money.

Had a scrummy cake and the best coffee we had drunk all week. Great place to watch the world go by..
