Mountain Creek - Sierra City

I felt like I was in an episode of the Virgin River TV series. When we walked in for breakfast, we were greeted by such friendly faces. Aside from me, it seemed like everyone else was familiar with one another. They all had their own personal coffee mugs hanging on a post. The breakfast was delicious! But what truly made the visit special was the charming atmosphere. And by the way, the laminated menus were surprisingly clean to touch!

While traveling through this charming little town, we decided to stop here for lunch today. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, and we received a very warm welcome. After ordering our drinks, we decided to share a club sandwich and some onion rings. Both were incredibly tasty! The smoked bacon and turkey were especially delicious—so good! This place is adorable, and I'm really glad we decided to stop here. I always enjoy supporting local businesses.

I recently enjoyed the best turkey burger and onion rings I've had in ages! The staff was incredibly friendly and offered attentive customer service. It's always a joy to visit Sierra City!

I stopped by The Red Moose at 9 AM on Tuesday July 11th. I was really looking forward to a great breakfast. According to all that I had read it would be open. Wrong ! It was closed and there was a for sale sign posted. Not a good indication of things.

This is such a quaint little spot in Sierra city. A quick stop on the way to downieville or further. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and fun little card games on the tables! The staff was extremely accommodating and let us order from the lunch menu 30 minutes early. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything was presented so nicely. All the food was seasoned and cooked perfectly! I ended up ordering a salad and was able to make some additions to it to really customize it. Really great service and awesome food make this a great spot to pick up a quick lunch or breakfast and enjoy all their restaurant antiques and the cute little town of Sierra city. They're even friendly for your furry friends.
