Bidrage med feedbackI don't know how there any ratings above a zero! The sauce was thick and like syrup, the bread was cold and tasteless. I ordered the curry chicken salad which was a thick, overly sweet mayo with rotini noodles and maybe 4-5 fragments of chicken topped with full half segments of walnuts. There may have been 4-5 tiny grapes in it too. No hint of curry. $16 for a plate of noodles. The waitress did knock off $5 but it wasn't worth $10. The other meals at our table weren't good either as they had that weird tasting sauce. It's also in a shady area that does not feel safe at all. The staff were cold and unwelcoming except for our waitress, Casey. She was the only positive experience in this place. Save your money!
Ok so I have been to the other two locations in Shreveport-Bossier but this was my first time at the O.G.! I ordered toasted ravioli from the lunch menu and had sweet tea. There sauce is the best. I buy a jar for the house. It's a must for spaghetti at home. Be sure to get some of there bread to-go. It goes great to dip in warm sauce.
So good. The sauce, the bread, the meatballs!! The best!! Oh, and don't forget the mint tea!
OMG! Whatever you do, come here. Don't judge a book my it's cover. This place is so delicious. The sweet marinara sauce you get with the bread is so dang good and you can put it on any of the dishes. We got the meatball appetizer and they are not joking. It's huge. The neopolitan pasta (lasagna noodles, meat, cheese, covered in half Alfredo and have marinara) was extremely delicious. Patrick was our waiter and was so polite. He made us feel very welcome and too great care of us. We will definitely be coming back!
Monjuni's is a longtime favorite of our family's. The food, service, and dining experience are consistently excellent. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong. We love the muffulettas, the shrimp pasta salad, the chopped salad, the twice baked lasagna, the Alfredo, the Neapolitan, and the Italian sampler. Even the mint tea is not to be missed. Monjuni's is also terrific for catering and pick up. We've picked up whole muffulettas, pans of pasta, pans of salad, and (of course gallons of tea. The amazing Monjuni's staff helped us load everything up and sent us on our way. In person or to go, Monjuni's is a local standout. (If you don't like the sweet red gravy/sauce, order the tomato basil. Also before the meal, the crostini are served with sauce, so that's a great opportunity to taste the two sauces and order the one you like best.
