Bidrage med feedbackLast year, we discovered this place and came for breakfast every day during our vacation because the food was so good. This year, we decided to stay at their hotel and we absolutely loved it. The manager speaks English, they offer vegan options and can veganize dishes by using oil instead of butter. The herbal momos are delicious, and they even offer cooking classes to learn how to make them. The curry is really tasty, served with rice, and their sweet soup with teig is perfect for a cold, rainy day. The atmosphere is quiet, with traditional Tibetan music playing and colorful decorations. They serve great coffee, although it is a bit on the pricey side. We tried to avoid lunch and dinner times to not smell the meat being prepared for other guests, but we never actually noticed any odors. The wifi was not always strong, so I spent a few afternoons working online in the cafe because of the beautiful atmosphere. The family sells their own Shangri La wine and other handmade products that support a social enterprise of rural Tibetan women. However, their soaps are not vegan as they contain yak milk.
