Bidrage med feedbackAfter we have no luck going to a few of our favorite restaurants because they had no reservations available, we decided to try kitchen in the Inn for the first time. The price is reasonable and the menu was much more innovative than most restaurants around serving the same old basic price. The Brie empanadas had a poached pear inside and were not your typical starter food, they were creative and tasty. I could sincerely see that this rework is a little sweeter than dessert! The turkey and wild rice soup was hearty and tasteful with a balanced taste. The hanging steak with potatoes and broccoli was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked for my pleasure! The Bolognese sauce was not our favorite, but we are very picky about sauces... Both desserts we had were obviously homemade and were also delicious. We had flourless chocolate cake and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. We will certainly return!
Pleasantly surprised! Food and drinks are priced less than many Saratoga area restaurants. Our server was friendly too. Lots of good choices on the menu! We enjoyed the pate for an appetizer and steak au poivre for the main course. Will be back.
The food was excellent! My husband and I had chicken liver pate appetizer and crab cake appetizer- both terrific! Crab cakes full of crab and not filler; and pate came with fresh chopped onion, hard boiled egg, and capers- yum! We shared the salad that had bacon wrapped walnuts- freshly crisped bacon was so good! For mains I had the Cornish hen and my husband had a wonderfully fresh pesto sauce with pasta, chicken, and shrimp- both very good. We accompanied our dinner with an IPA beer and a Pino Grigio served in a chilled glass- how nice! Service was great and personable- we’ll be back, and tell our friends. What a pleasant evening in a very charming restaurant located in a small inn!
We stayed here with our children and absolutely loved it. The owners were attentive and accommodating. We had an unusually late arrival and they made arrangements for our arrival. The room was excellent and the food was terrific. It was so nice to stay at a local establishment for our trip to Schuylerville rather than a bigger hotel 20 minutes away. We will definitely be back here again!
Review for dinner 11/11/21. You are currently doing a reasonable Prix Fixe menu of $23.30. We had the pumpkin, a heavenly slightly tasty soup fabric with the perfect touch of cinnamon and nutmeg and the house salad, with a mixture of layered greens. The Steak Diane had a delicious mushroom, mustard, brandy sauce. The perfectly grilled pork chop had a rum-Rasin sauce that recalls a curry apple chutney, but without the Cayenne pepper hotness; a perfect choice for the cool autumn evenings. The potatoes were the only side of this meal they were like a thick slice of whole boiled potato. The service was the right care without being overlaid. The accompanying generous pouring of wine through the glass choices were a reasonable $6.50. A perfect weekday choice of a cozy dinner.
