Bidrage med feedbackSadly this hotel is now badly managed, unwelcoming atmosphere and decor. unloved and uncared for. The bare minimum being done. The hotel is not clean. All carpets around hotel not regularly clean. Dining area and bar untidy and dirty. Broken things and random items just dumped around hotel. Indoor/outdoor windows dirty. Only staff there were young waitress, young bar girl and a young cook. Noone in charge and apparently Manager away so told email Saram hotels as they unable to deal with my complaints. I would have asked for money back and left but noone to make that decision!!! Had to endure shoddy place and staff instead. Noone cares what this place looks like. My room not clean and old yellowy stains on duvet cover. Only the view from my bedroom was pleasant.
We regret not reading reviews before stopping at this hotel for lunch during our 12km walk. We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone due to concerns about food hygiene standards and the lack of care put into the food we received. I ordered a panini with coleslaw and tortilla chips, but found a hair in my panini and the coleslaw was mostly mayonnaise with chunks of onion and cabbage. My tortilla chips were mostly crumbs from the bottom of the bag. My boyfriend ordered a veggie burger with chips and salad for £9.50, but received a stale bun with a defrosted veggie burger inside, lacking any toppings. The veggie patty even had a hole in the center, possibly to check if it was cooked through. The chips were soggy and the salad was just some chopped vegetables on lettuce leaves. Overall, our experience was a waste of £20, except for the cold pints of Diet Coke.
After visiting the beach will walked to here Did not need a big meal and the snack menu in the bar area was ideal Plenty of seating inside and outside A dog friendly place and had free treats Nice sandwiches arrived in good time, but it was not busy today Would go again
Poor service was provided by inexperienced staff at this restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted by young employees who seemed unsure of their role. When we inquired about breakfast options, we were simply told that a full breakfast or a bacon sandwich were available, with no further details. The next morning, we discovered that a charge of £10 was required for breakfast, which had not been mentioned beforehand. The quality of the breakfast did not match the price, with dry bread, undercooked poached eggs, and no hot water for tea. The room itself was lacking in maintenance, with curtains falling off the rail and a toilet door that would not shut properly. These issues should have been addressed considering the cost of the accommodation.
I regret not reading the Tripadvisor reviews before visiting this secluded hilltop hotel. After reading them, I found that I agree with the others. Although we initially planned on having lunch there, we ended up changing our minds.
