Southern Kicks Bbq - Savannah

I ordered the pulled pork, along with baked beans and coleslaw on the side. For just $13, I received a generous portion of pork, which I thought was an excellent deal. The food was delicious, and I was tempted to give the restaurant a full 5-star rating. However, as noted in a previous review, the staff wasn't exactly warm or welcoming. When I approached the window, I honestly felt like I was inconveniencing them. The atmosphere was quite off-putting, and although I enjoyed the food, I'm unsure if I would want to return. I hope the management takes these reviews to heart and recognizes that customers are doing them a favor by dining there, not the other way around.

I visited this restaurant for hotdogs and barbecue with my grandchildren. My grandsons leaned on the window counter, and the staff member curtly informed them that it was a $500 charge. I asked for hotdogs, but he rudely stated that they didn’t have any. So, I ordered the barbecue salad instead, paid for it, thanked the man, and he shut the window in my face without responding. I will not be returning; it was an unpleasant experience with subpar food.

I'm not giving a low rating because of the food; it's more about the rudeness I experienced. I thanked the staff at least two or three times, but I didn't receive any response—not a word. They seemed annoyed that I was there to pick up a delivery order. Because of this, I've decided not to accept any more orders from this restaurant. Maybe I just encountered them on a bad day, but it definitely made me uncomfortable.

As always, the food is exceptional. Unlike the tourist trap on Tybee Island, their Brunswick Stew actually tastes like Brunswick Stew, not just vegetable soup. The rib portions are generous and tender, practically falling off the bone. I've been enjoying Southern Kicks BBQ for years, and it's the best around!
