Shell House - Savannah

We stayed here in a mood during our trip. Best decision at all!!!! The parts are HUGE! We ordered the net and it was enough to share and have some to go! The taste of the alligator tail and hush puppies were so good. The service was so fast. We never asked for refills and they came! The food lasted only about 5-10 minutes and was hot and freshly tasting. The restaurant has cool fish theme decorations and is family-friendly. There are outdoor seating and plenty of space between tables. We're coming back!

Although waiting for the table took a long time, it was worth waiting. I had the Cast Net, my family had the Big Daddy, we also tried the Gator for appetizer, our first time and it was pretty good! Everything was perfect and delicious! We'll be back.

Came for our 10th anniversary. We both cooked the snow. Best shrimp I ever had! Perfectly cooked and this comes from a Beaufort local who cooked shrimp all his life. Portions were HUGE! The staff was very attentive and the owner checked us personally.

The food was delicious! We did have to wait a good while, but they did have chairs behind the bar area for sitting and an outdoor deck with an alligator and turtles for the kids to feed and watch! That entertained the children! Our service was good too. I would recommend bringing cash because they do charge a fee for cards. Ours was about $3.00. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!

I had the cast net. It had boomboom shrimp, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, and boiled shrimp. All was great, but the boom boom shrimp was incredible. The cast net also came with two sides. I got cheese grits. You prices are high, but you are basically getting two meals. My wife got something with fried catfish. I tried it and it was great also. The dessert I had was the apple crisp. Tasted awesome.
