I had the special which was oyster mushroom stew over rice, Mac n cheese, potatoes and corn bread. The food was good and had that home-cooked soul food taste. It was just expensive at $20 for the amount, I was still hungry. Which you wouldn’t expect given the name.

During our stay at Tybee Island, we decided to make the trip over to this restaurant and we were thrilled that we did. It was hands down the best food we had all week. Even though we thought we ordered too much, we couldn't stop eating because everything was so delicious. Every dish we tried was fantastic, but the standout was the okra, which had a mix of other vegetables that made it absolutely phenomenal. Our meal included stewed mushrooms, rice, fried oyster mushrooms, collards, okra, mac n cheese, potatoes, and cornbread. Our favorites were the okra, stewed mushrooms and rice, and collards. We are eager to try their fried cauliflower next time, as the breading on the oyster mushrooms was perfectly executed. This is truly authentic southern cuisine prepared by skilled chefs who know exactly what they are doing.

While visiting Savannah, Georgia, we decided to stop at this small restaurant that might have been easy to miss. I'm glad we didn't drive by because it was definitely worth it. We tried the mushroom burger, impossible burger, and spaghetti, all of which were delicious. The vegetable sides were fantastic, especially the lima beans which were the best I've ever had.

This right-off-the-highway restaurant was absolutely delightful start to finish. The staff were very friendly and happy to talk to us while our food was being made. They make fresh cold-pressed juices that are banging (I recommend the beet ginger one). The food was so good that my granny (rest her blessed soul) looked down on me as I ate these southern dishes and smiled. This slam-dunk, mmm-MMM deliciousness was 100/10 good.
