Bidrage med feedbackWe had been here before a few years ago and decided to come back for dinner after finding out they had received a Michelin star. We were not deluded in the slightest! The food and the attention to detail was exceptional, the staff was very attentive and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. An overall amazing experience.
We had overall a wonderful experience: the menu spans between tradition and influences in a very playful way, with some points of excellence particularly on some of the meats. The desert chef is certainly very passionate as well. The presentation is very curated and the service was very attentive on us and courteous. Definitely recommend that you pay a visit and support this amazing project that is absolutely worth of a Michelin star.
Three of us came to this restaurant having spent the day skiing in Sestriere. We had intended to find another place, but got lost and so stumbled upon this quiet and unassuming restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Although the outside looked a bit like a barn, inside it was warm and cosy. The very friendly waitress showed us to a table and, even though for most of the nigh only three others were occupied, the place did not seem quiet or stale at all. They even had an English menu! To start we had snails, a poached egg which was then lightly fried, and a Parmesan flan, all of which were wonderful. The egg in particular was crunchy on the outside but runny when cut into, which looked perfect. For mains, my two friends had duck with a balsamic vinegar reduction. I am told that the duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. I went for a veal steak cooked rare, with veal tartar and spinach. The veal arrived perfectly cooked, red inside as it should be (and wouldn't be in the UK) and with a very fine, but just right, sprinkling of salt flakes on top adding to the flavour. Meanwhile the veal tartar was outstanding! Fresh, well seasoned and beautifully presented with some beansprouts for a garnish, All three meals were beautifully presented on pieces of slate, which was a lovely touch and added to the ambiance of a warm and friendly restaurant in the Italian alps. We didn't have any desserts, with a two hour drive in front of us, but the few that we did see looked equally as brilliant. There were only two members of staff that we saw, a chef and waitress, and we speculated whether or not they might be a husband and wife team. Whether they are or not, we don't know, but they do a cracking job of running an extremely good restaurant.
