Bidrage med feedbackThe front desk informed me that the hotel does not have individual HVAC systems for each room. This means that when it gets cold in your room—an all-too-common occurrence—there's no way to adjust the temperature without affecting all the other rooms, which the hotel is unwilling to do. I can't understand why a hotel would be designed this way. There is a small fireplace in the room, but it takes hours to warm up the space; the only way to feel warm is to stand directly in front of it. I spent many cold nights needing an extra blanket. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I would not choose to stay here again.
My husband and I spent a weekend here with our dog to escape the busy city for his birthday. Spencer checked us in and was extremely friendly, which made for a great start to our stay. Overall, we had a pleasant time! However, I'm unsure if we'll return, though it's a possibility. The location is stunning with excellent access to hiking trails, but the food prices are too high considering the quality. It definitely felt like hotel food. On our last night, we ended up ordering delivery instead. We also indulged in massages, and the spa was quite lovely. Unfortunately, we forgot our bathing suits and didn't realize they sold some until we were leaving, which was a disappointment! As for the food and drinks, everything was quite bland.
Albert gave us an outstanding experience at Sunday brunch for the two of us. Our dogs had a wonderful time, and the chef truly excelled with the eggs benedict and asparagus dish. Thank you for the warm hospitality!
This place has become one of our favorites, especially since we're originally from the Bay Area; visiting Cavallo Point feels like catching up with old friends. During our stay, we met a wonderful couple while grabbing coffee and pastries, and we shared some laughs with the front desk staff. Later, we bumped into a woman walking her dog, and she ended up giving us a tour of our charming accommodations. We then relaxed on the porch, enjoying the cool breeze and breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge while the dogs basked in the sun. In the evening, we took blankets from the front desk and gathered around the large fire pit, where we created our own little "secret society" after hours. It felt just like having our own lodge! To top it off, there was a wedding and reception happening on Saturday night, but the service remained impeccable, making us feel like the only guests. In the mornings, you can enjoy coffee in the art gallery or relax in rocking chairs overlooking the Golden Gate. I wish I could live here!
Mauro is the most attentive and intuitive hospitality professional I've experienced in Marin. He generously offered us a welcome Chardonnay, a wonderfully buttery treat from Raymond. Thank you, JCB! If you enjoy a warm welcome and appreciate the finer things in life, be sure to visit the amazing Cavallo Point Lodge.
