Bidrage med feedbackThis is an absolute gem! I almost had tears in my eyes when we left. It was one of the rare moments, I experienced food like at home while eating at a restaurant. It felt like my mother, my aunt or my grandmother could have cooked the food we had. In fact, there is only one woman in the kitchen and I guess her son is taking care of the guests and the service. Absolutely unbelievable! This authenticity, these marvelous tastes, it was almost surreal. Although the family of my father originally is from the south of Italy and dishes therefore differ from what is usually served in the north, it was not difficult to identify the main ingredients used to produce this amazing result: Good regional products, knowledgeably handled and a lot of love for the guests sitting at the table. Make no mistake: If you are looking for Micheline/ Gault Millau style food, you will potentially be disappointed. This is not an expensive, luxurious experience. It’s much better: It’s the real thing.
We returned to this lovely traditional italian restaurant because we knew we would get a good traditional Italian meal at a reasonable price. It was again lovely. A bit busy on the second night but worth the wait !
Very basic settings, don't come here for a fancy dining experience but if you'll find great quality piemontese food. Everything looks basic, even slightly unexciting in the plate but is full of flavours to the palate. Family business. Strange menu, half German, half English and no prices. But the bill was very decent, 55 euros for a family of 4 with 2 courses each excluding wine. There is a 4 course meal available also for 30 euros. Wine available by the glass at 3 euros. Barbaresco and Barolo only by the bottle, the 2005 Barolo fron Enzo Boglietti added 35 euros to the bill but was fantastic.
Ideal place for a good and honest meal It is a nice osteria the service is simple but adequate the food is not complex but fresh products are used Willy Lenaerts
The hotel made us a reservation here for Sunday night. There were only 8 or 9 tables and all of them were full. We ordered the white wine from the sister's winery and it was wonderful. We sat there until closing and were treated to an after dinner drink. Highly recommend eating here!!
