Bidrage med feedbackThere's another good reason for you to take a short road trip to breezy Santa Rosa in Laguna, just about an hour from Metro Manila. CAFÉ SEOL HWA (Dessert Café) is now at the sprawling Solenad Complex (Nuvali), offering South Korea’s favorite cold desserts, most notably the BINGSU. It’s a bowl full of milk-flavored shaved ice, a bit sweetened, with chunks of cheese and fresh ripe mangoes, served solo or for sharing. It’s divinely refreshing with hints of similarity to the Filipino HALO-HALO, though the latter is served with so many other ingredients.
The restaurant would have received a very good rating if there hadn't been confusion with our order. After finishing our food and preparing to leave, we were informed that we had not paid for an additional item. It would have been helpful to know this sooner. Despite this, the Bingsu dessert was really delicious. We ordered two large portions to share among the five of us and it had a great texture. One minor drawback was that the restaurant's walls were made of glass, so some areas could get a bit hot in the afternoon (try to choose a seat accordingly). I would definitely consider returning in the future.
I highly recommend trying the best-selling bingsu at this restaurant! Their delicious flavors are a must-try. Located at Ayala Malls Solenad, you can also enjoy their other tasty dishes alongside their bingsu. Don't miss out on this experience!
Seolhwa has become my standard for bingsu. I love the brownie choco and the mango cheesecake bingsu. They have big servings so don't be afraid to share ; It could get crowded in the afternoon so bring some patience with you.
Cafe Seolhwa is located in Solenad Nuvali. It's a nice cafe and dessert place where you and your family or love ones can go to after having a sumptuous meal. if you are craving for something sweet and cold but not too heavy of sugar ice cream like dessert, I recommend cafe seolhwa. What's unique about this cafe is the servings of their dessert. it comes in two sizes medium and large. A medium size order of their Bingsu is good for couple, but if you are dining as a family of 4 or 5, I suggest order the large one, it's good enough for 4 maybe 5 to share. And price? it's really cheap, a large order is in between Php320 to 360 and that's not so bad if 4 or 5 can share. So next time that you are in the Nuvali area, look for Cafe Seolhwa, it's in the inner part of the Ayala Mall.
